I accidentally ran into Dhanak on Netflix (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhanak). It is a story about two siblings in a Rajasthani village who are both movie nuts. The boy who is blind worships Salman Khan while his elder sister is a Shah Rukh Khan fan. The kids are orphans and live with his uncle. The girl promises her brother that he will get his eyesight back before he turns 9, in three months! She thinks that Shah Rukh Khan will help her. They hear that SRK is shooting nearby (300 km away!) and set out to see him and ask for help. What transpires is magical realism genre. The photography is lovely, showing how beautiful Rajasthan is. Don’t ask questions in the end — it is magical realism. This is the third Indian movie that is woven around the theme of a voyage (the other two are https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bajrangi_Bhaijaan and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piku Is this a trend?
