I accidentally ran into this movie on Netflix while looking for something that my teenager would agree to watch with me (sci-fi or comedy).  A Bengali movie about time travel back to 1980 set in Calcutta and tagged as both “comedy” and “sci-fi” was naturally irresistible, having myself lived in West Bengal in the mid 1980s.

There is precious little science here. But the human emotional conundrum of time travel, the standard in fare like “Back to The Future”, never gets old. This movie does it almost evocatively. Although some of the acting and character building is a bit corny and over-the-top, the stereotypes are sometimes funny.

Raima Sen is a classical Indian beauty, but with genes like hers, that is no surprise.

It was good entertainment.
